The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities announced that Dashawn Davison has been awarded the 2025 Direct Support Professional of the Year by the Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities. The award recognizes exceptional dedication, integrity and commitment to empowering people with developmental differences to succeed in daily life.
With 12 years of experience – three as a volunteer and nine as a paid professional – Davison has built a career centered on uplifting others and delivering support rooted in respect, consistency and genuine care. He was selected for consistently going above and beyond, planning ahead to ensure seamless care, collaborating closely with fellow providers and MCBDD case managers, and building a respectful, empowering partnership with the person he serves.
