The Summit County Sheriff’s Office recovered $110,000 for a Green resident who reported a cryptocurrency investment scam on Oct. 8.
After the resident reported a “significant loss” from fraud, the sheriff’s office’s Detective Bureau initiated an investigation using detailed information and financial records provided by the victim, a sheriff’s office news release on Dec. 22 said.
