21-year-old man dies days after Stark County crash

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) — A 21-year-old man has died days after he was involved in a crash in Stark County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol‘s Canton Post, Clayton Jacobs, 21, of Atwater, Ohio, was driving north on State Route 44 in Marlboro Township on the evening of Dec. 19.

ODOT roadside safety device struck overnight by suspected impaired driver

Troopers said his vehicle went left of the center line and struck a vehicle going the opposite direction. That vehicle was being driven by Constance Tawney, 74, of Canton, Ohio.

Tawney’s vehicle was pushed off the road during the collision. Jacob’s vehicle also went off the road and overturned onto its side. He was taken to Akron City Hospital with serious injuries and died Dec. 23, according to OSHP…
