The Akron Police Department is currently investigating an incident that took place around 8:26 p.m. on the 800 block of West Market Street, where a 33-year-old man was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. According to WKYC, the injured man received transport to a local hospital for treatment.
Similarly, a harrowing scene unfolded in Cleveland on the same night. At around 9:27 p.m., police were summoned to the In and Out Beverage and Deli store located on Lakeview near Earle in response to shooting reports, where an 18-year-old man, later identified as Chase D. Holt, was found with gunshot wounds. A source conveyed to Cleveland 19 News, said about 40 rounds were fired in the store, trapping the victim in a corner where escape from the attack was not an option.
