Christmas Eve turned tragic in Ohio with two separate shootings in Akron and Cleveland, leaving one person dead and another hospitalized. The Akron Police Department is currently investigating an incident that took place around 8:26 p.m. on the 800 block of West Market Street, where a 33-year-old man was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. According to WKYC, the injured man received transport to a local hospital for treatment.

Similarly, a harrowing scene unfolded in Cleveland on the same night. At around 9:27 p.m., police were summoned to the In and Out Beverage and Deli store located on Lakeview near Earle in response to shooting reports, where an 18-year-old man, later identified as Chase D. Holt, was found with gunshot wounds. A source conveyed to Cleveland 19 News, said about 40 rounds were fired in the store, trapping the victim in a corner where escape from the attack was not an option.
