OHIO — A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of northeast Ohio as lake-effect snow is expected to impact the region beginning Wednesday afternoon and continuing into early Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland said the advisory will be in place from 1 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday for Lorain, Medina, Wayne, Stark and Mahoning counties. Forecasters expect 3 to 5 inches of snow, with wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph.
