OHIO — A man and a woman were taken into custody Wednesday following a standoff with police in Ravenna that investigators say began with the assault and robbery of another man.
According to the Ravenna Police Department, officers were alerted around 6:45 a.m. when a 33-year-old man arrived at the police station reporting he had been robbed at an apartment in the 400 block of West Main Street.
Police said the victim told officers he had stayed at the residence overnight and was preparing to leave in the morning when he was assaulted. During the attack, the victim reported that his cell phone and $400 in cash were taken.
