Cleveland man charged in armed robbery of Akron mail carrier

CLEVELAND, Ohio— A Cleveland man was charged Friday in connection with the armed robbery of a mail carrier in Akron.

Delshawn Legg was arrested after federal investigators tracked a stolen mail scanner and found him in an SUV that had been stolen from a car lot in Akron about 12 hours before the robbery, according to court records.

Legg is charged in federal court in Akron with robbery of a postal worker and using a gun during a violent crime. U.S. District Judge Carmen Henderson in Youngstown ordered Legg held in custody and set a bond hearing for next week…
