BEREA, Ohio (WJW) — A dog who has been with the Berea Animal Rescue Fund for nearly two years is getting a good dose of home life thanks to a foster, but the end goal is a forever home.
Otis, a 3-year-old terrier-mix, was featured this weekend on the Berea ARF Facebook page. He came to the shelter in April of 2024, the group wrote. He’s described as a “great boy who just doesn’t show well in his kennel due to stress of the shelter environment.”

After volunteers helped Otis overcome a fear of parking lots and cars, he was able to go home with a foster family where he’s been since early December, the post said.
And he’s doing great…
