WADSWORTH — The city is moving forward with the construction of a Multi-Agency Radio Communication System tower, or MARCS tower, to improve radio coverage for the city’s safety services.
Wadsworth Safety Director Dan Chafin said the city is entering an agreement with Verdantas for professional engineering services for the design of the city’s new MARCS radio communication tower project.
The MARCS tower would be a part of the statewide network that allows first responders to use digital radios for communications. Chafin said in Ohio there are more than 360 towers, and 3,000 different public safety and public services agencies currently utilizing the system…
