Earthquake detected in Northeast Ohio

MADISON, Ohio (WKBN) – A small earthquake was recorded in Northeast Ohio late Monday night. It happened in the village of Madison in Lake County, about 70 miles from Youngstown.

The 2.6 magnitude quake happened right around 11:50 p.m. No damage was reported, but some people reported feeling some light shaking near the epicenter.

Two small earthquakes were recorded back in November near Ohio, one of them in the Valley, but were likely not felt. One was 1.7 magnitude earthquake near Orangeville in Mercer County, the other was a magnitude 2.5 quake near southwest Ohio on the Kentucky border…
