CLEVELAND — Hakeem-Ali Shomo, the last of six defendants to either be convicted or plead guilty to charges related to the 2021 torture and murder of Alishah Pointer in East Cleveland, will be sentenced on Wednesday.
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Mollie Ann Murphy will sentence Shomo at 10 a.m. 3News is planning to stream the hearing in this story as well as on our YouTube page.
According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, a jury found the 34-year-old Shomo guilty of the following charges on Nov. 25:
- Two counts of aggravated murder
- Two counts of murder
- Two counts of felonious assault
- Four counts of kidnapping
- One count of conspiracy
