Pet of the Week, 1/7/26

As we begin 2026, we are reminded of the state of affairs in animal welfare in Summit County. As an organization, we work feverishly to rescue and rehome orphaned pets; abandoned by humanity. These dogs didn’t ask for this life, yet they are living it in a very upsetting way.

Animals are thinking, feeling, and loving beings. They bond just as we bond. They have deep emotions just as we experience deep emotions. On behalf of selfless beings, our goal is to do much, much more in 2026.

We ask the community to reach out to our organization, Pay It Forward For Pets, in the New Year for free spay and neutering – and age-appropriate vaccines. This not only keeps the population of pets from multiplying, but it also results in a much, much healthier pet that lives a longer lifetime. This will be offered to qualifying pet owners as funds permit…
