VIDEO: Summit County inmate leads riot at juvenile detention center

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – Je’miere Jones, an 18-year-old inmate at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center, led a riot in December that resulted in one officer thrown to the ground and beaten.

The riot took place on December 25, where Jones managed to get himself and six other inmates out of their cells. All seven inmates were in the same unit.

Security camera shows, as soon as the inmates escaped, they began to cause damage to the common area. Tables, chairs, televisions, radios and other items were thrown around as the inmates were running back and forth…
