Registration is open for the Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump that raises funds for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.
Participants will jump into the icy waters at the Portage Lakes State Park beach off of Manchester Road for the Feb. 28 event. The fundraising goal for the 22nd annual jump is $125,000.
Those who are “too chicken” can have someone jump in for them. The stand-in will be dressed in a chicken costume and tossed into the lake…
