$2 million Powerball winner in Akron claims prize nearly 5 months after winning

AKRON, Ohio — Months after winning a Powerball lottery prize worth $2 million in Akron, the winner has stepped forward and claimed their money through a trust.

The Ohio Lottery said the winner hit their $2 million prize during the Aug. 27 Powerball drawing after purchasing the lucky ticket at Circle K #5702, which is located at 3520 S. Arlington Road.

“The Blessed Family Trust, represented by trustee Andrew J. Pfeifer, Esq., stepped forward to cash in the ticket,” according to a press release from the Ohio Lottery. “Winners are required to claim their prize within 180 days of the drawing date.”…
