Citizens gather in Medina Square Jan. 11 as part of national movement

MEDINA, Ohio – Following the death of Renee Nicole Good in Minnesota last week, rallies and demonstrations took place across the country and citizens in Medina joined those numbers.

Approximately 450 citizens gathered in Medina Square Jan. 11.

“People were pretty upset already and very concerned about what is happening in our cities and towns,” said Mosie Welch of Medina County Indivisible, the group that organized the Medina rally along with the newer group, Greater Wadsworth Indivisible. “Our goal was to bring visibility and let our community know how concerned we are about masked ICE agents in unmarked cars in our cities and towns. ICE OUT for GOOD was a national coalition call-out that was planned after the death of Renee Good. There were events all across Ohio and the nation starting on the evening of Renee Good’s death.”…
