OHIO (WJW) — Several school districts in Northeast Ohio canceled class for Thursday as heavy snow fell through the area Wednesday night.

Districts including Avon Lake City Schools, Lorain City Schools and Parma City Schools will not have class Thursday.
Several communities were under parking bans and snow emergencies, with more expected.
Winter weather advisories and lake effect snow warnings were issued ahead of the event, with some areas expected to get upward of six to 12 inches of snow through Thursday.
