A Catholic Parish in Akron that dates back more than 100 years marked its final mass at Immaculate Conception Church this past Sunday.
As Charles Wilson looked through photos of the church, he could not help but feel sentimental over a lifetime of memories and the reality that he will never attend another mass there.
“I was baptized there, first Eucharist there, confirmation there, married there,” Wilson said. “It’s sad. It’s hard to comprehend that it’s no longer there.”…
