New Philadelphia man accused in violent crime spree across Northeast Ohio

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – A New Philadelphia man is accused in a violent crime spree across Stark and Tuscarawas counties.

Dyllan Riter, 28, allegedly robbed two Dollar General stores recently in Waynesburg and East Sparta but got away from Stark County deputies.

Then on Wednesday morning, New Philadelphia Safety Director Kevin Milligan said their officers caught up with Riter and attempted to arrest him.

He was taken into custody, but not before Milligan said he grabbed and fired an officer’s weapon…
