Akron mayor gives update on snow removal, snow plow tracker up and running

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – The mayor of Akron gave an update on the city’s snow removal efforts Monday morning.

According to Mayor Shammas Malik, as of 9:30 a.m., crews have cleared about 550 of the city’s 1,075 center line miles of road.

Crews have started to get into the residential neighborhoods and Malik said later this morning plow trucks will get to the third priority streets…
