Snow emergencies, advisories continue as messy roads complicate Monday commute

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Slick roads are complicating the Monday morning commute across Northeast Ohio after a weekend winter storm dumped heavy snow across the region and pushed several counties into snow emergencies.

Snowfall amounts ranged from about 5 inches to more than 9 inches across much of Northeast Ohio, with 6.4 inches recorded at Hopkins International Airport as of 7 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Higher totals were reported in parts of Geauga, Cuyahoga, Summit and Portage counties.
