(WJW) — Akron Public Schools announced it won’t be reopening schools and auxiliary buildings on Tuesday, Jan. 27, “due to extreme weather conditions,” reads a notice on the district’s homepage.
Wind chills Monday evening through Tuesday morning are expected to be 15 to 25 degrees below zero, according to the latest FOX 8 forecast. An extreme cold warning takes effect at 7 p.m. on Monday and lasts until 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
