STARK COUNTY, Ohio — A grand jury in Stark County has indicted 49-year-old Joshua Lee Shaffer on charges related to a double stabbing last month in Canton Township.
According to court documents, Shaffer was indicted late last week on the following charges:
- Two counts of attempted murder
- Two counts of felonious assault
- Two counts of domestic violence
Court records indicated that Shaffer previously pleaded guilty or was convicted of charges related to domestic violence on two separate occasions in New Philadelphia Municipal Court.
An arraignment for Shaffer in Stark County Common Pleas Court is set for Friday.
