Portion of Ohio Turnpike closed in Cuyahoga County overnight commercial truck carrying calcium hypochlorite catches fire

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, Ohio — A portion of the Ohio Turnpike — both eastbound and westbound — were temporarily closed overnight in Cuyahoga County after a commercial trailer that was hauling calcium hypochlorite “became fully engulfed due to a brake fire.”

Officials with the Ohio Turnpike tell 3News the closure began around 1 a.m. Tuesday at milepost 158.9 East.

Traffic diversions were set eastbound at Toll Plaza 151 (North Ridgeville-Cleveland) and westbound at Toll Plaza 161 (Strongsville-Cleveland)…
