AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich announced Tuesday the sentencing of a man for the repeated rape an 11-year-old girl.
57-year-old Lowell Strickland, of Portsmouth, was sentenced to life in prison for the repeated rape of an 11-year-old girl child that he met online, according to a release from the prosecutor’s office.
Strickland pleaded guilty to first degree felony rape, and will be eligible for parole consideration after 10 years.
The release said Strickland has also been designated as a Tier III sex offender, which requires him to register every 90 days with the local sheriff for the rest of his life if he is ever released from prison…
