Dangerous Snow Squall Warning Issued for 7 Counties in Ohio

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Cleveland issued multiple Snow Squall Warnings on Tuesday afternoon for parts of north-central Ohio, citing rapidly deteriorating travel conditions caused by intense bursts of snow and strong winds.

The warnings covered portions of Erie, Lorain, Huron, Richland, Ashland, and Crawford counties, affecting numerous communities and major transportation corridors. The snow squalls were observed on radar and webcams and were moving east at approximately 35 mph.

According to the NWS, the squalls were producing heavy snowfall, wind gusts exceeding 35 mph, and blowing snow, resulting in near-zero to quarter-mile visibility in some areas…
