Some Northeast Ohio schools again cancel classes Friday because of extreme cold

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Another morning of very cold temperatures has led to some school districts again canceling classes.

Only a handful of districts in Cuyahoga County canceled classes today, while Akron Public Schools again are closed.

In Cleveland, the temperature was zero degrees just after 5:30 a.m. but winds were calm so wind chill was not a factor, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies today with a high around 12 degrees…
