The city of Akron says it’s helping to address the cockroach issue creating misery for residents of the Spring Hill Apartments building at 1221 Everton Road.
City spokeswoman Stephanie Marsh said via email Jan. 28 that the city opened a case file for the common areas of the 209-unit building, which was inspected Jan. 27. There are currently seven active orders on apartments in the complex, which has 351 units total.
“We are issuing an order to comply for roaches, trash in the compactor areas, and a broken elevator,” Marsh said. “We will follow up as a high-priority case.”…
