A warmer spring for Northeast Ohio? Old Farmer’s Almanac releases 2026 outlook

CLEVELAND, Ohio — As Northeast Ohio shivers through one of its coldest stretches of winter, the Old Farmer’s Almanac is offering a small dose of optimism for the months ahead.

The Almanac’s newly released spring 2026 outlook calls for warmer-than-average temperatures across much of the Great Lakes, including Northeast Ohio, along with relatively modest precipitation — a notable contrast to the Arctic air currently gripping the region.

The outlook is a long-range seasonal forecast covering April and May, not a day-by-day prediction, and should be viewed as a broad trend rather than a precise forecast, the Almanac notes.
