Much of the food that is served at Ravenna’s Center of Hope and Kent Social Services comes from a 102,500-square-foot warehouse in Akron.
There, some 10,800 volunteers assist a relatively small paid staff that last year distributed more than 42 million pounds of food for more than 34 million meals for food-insecure families in an eight-county area that includes Portage County.
