AKRON, Ohio (WJW) — General visitation was closed at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Saturday and the hospital’s emergency department was on diversion after a water main break early Saturday morning amid freezing temperatures and sub-zero wind chills.
The water main break forced the cancelation of all outpatient cardiac, radiation oncology, and radiology appointments Saturday at the downtown campus located at 1 Akron General Ave., a statement from the hospital said.
“All hospitalized patients continue to receive care, and the Emergency Department is open for patients,” the statement said.
