Thousands in Ohio could lose SNAP benefits if they don’t follow new changes

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -Cuyahoga County officials are getting the word out that thousands of Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients could lose benefits if they don’t follow new guidelines.

Signed into law as a part of the One Big Beautiful Bill at the federal level on July 4th, 2025, the new rules took effect Feb. 1, 2026.
