Feds bust Akron drug house, find enough fentanyl to kill a small town

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Federal agents said they seized enough fentanyl to kill thousands of people at a home in Akron last week.

On Thursday, agents with the Ohio Northeast Smuggling Enforcement Team executed a search warrant for a house on South Arlington Street because they believed Roy Wimberly had been trafficking drugs from that house, according to court documents.

There, they found Wimberly inside with more than five pounds of methamphetamine, multiple guns including an assault rifle and a sawed-off shotgun and 126 grams of fentanyl, according to an affidavit signed by a U.S. Department of Homeland Security special agent…
