Copley Twp., Ohio (WJET/WFXP) — Police in Ohio announced they’ve made an arrest in connection with the North East woman found dead in a hotel room near Akron, Ohio, on New Year’s Day.
Copley Township police announced charges were filed on Feb. 20 against 29-year-old Marcus Dangelo Price, including murder, felonious assault, rape and kidnapping for the death of 24-year-old Shawnna Pasquale of North East.

Police said the two were in a relationship and had been staying at a hotel in Summit County, Ohio, around the time of the murder, with investigators later determining she died from physical assault.
According to Rachel Pasquale, Shawnna’s sister, she had relocated to Ohio from Erie just one month before her death.
