Did someone say Chicken Paprikash?

Chicken Paprikash is one of the most iconic Hungarian national dishes, and like spaghetti sauce, everyone makes it a little differently. Growing up, my grandmother’s version featured tender chicken pieces simmered with onions and plenty of paprika, then finished with homemade dumplings and a swirl of sour cream.

Over the years, I’ve sampled my fair share of Chicken Paprikash dishes. Whenever I’m asked where to find my favorite versions, I always share my top three (3) spots located in Northern Ohio. Each one serves a delicious take on this classic dish, and each is so distinctly different that one might just remind you of your own family’s recipe.
