‘Do It For James’: Bill criminalizing sextortion clears major hurdle

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJW) – A proposed new federal law, that was inspired by the suicide of a Streetsboro High School student victimized by the online crime known as sextortion, cleared a major hurdle on Thursday.

The bill was unanimously approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee.
