CLEVELAND (WJW) – Thousands of FirstEnergy customers in northeast Ohio are reporting power outages.
According to the power company, as of noon on Tuesday, more than 30,000 customers were without power. Almost all of the outages were reported in Cuyahoga County.

A FirstEnergy spokesperson tells FOX 8:
“We are actively working to restore power to customers in the impacted areas. The misty rain combined with the salt on the road can cause contamination on utility poles. When that happens, electricity can travel across the pole and cause small fires. Our crews are working as quickly and as safely as possible to get customers restored.”…
