We’re something of a burger town here in Akron.
After all, we’re home of the famed Swensons, along with staple institutions dedicated to the beloved burger, like Bob’s Hamburg and Hamburger Station.
Heck, we even lay claim to the creation of the burger itself. As one legend goes, Frank and Charles Menches reportedly created the glorious sandwich at the 1892 Summit County Fair in Akron after they ran out of pork sausage and substituted beef instead…
