TUSCARAWAS TWP. ‒ A 51-year-old Beach City woman died after being hit by an SUV while she was walking on state Route 93 the night of March 6.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said it is investigating the crash that killed Joyanne M. Wigington, who was struck at 9:46 p.m. while walking in the middle of the southbound lane near the 2600 block of Manchester SW. She was hit by a southbound 2019 Dodge Journey driven by a 52-year-old woman from East Sparta.
Wigington was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, where she succumbed to her injuries…
