MEDINA, Ohio – The city’s special legislation committee has chosen to table proposed legislation that would implement an emergency snow ban in the city but said they could revisit it at a later time if needed.
During a March 9 special legislation committee meeting, Councilor Natalie DiSalvo asked Service Director Nino Piccoli if the service department often encounters vehicles parked in the street during snow emergencies.
“It happens, but it hasn’t been a big issue,” Piccoli said. “If someone is not prudent enough to keep their car off the street during a heavy snow, our drivers go around it and the car could get plowed in. But it doesn’t happen often.”…
