PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — The Portage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 42-year-old Cleveland woman died in her cell just two days after being booked on drug charges.
Pauline Ferrell was facing five charges, including three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug abuse instruments, and driving under suspension. At the time of her arrest, she allegedly possessed fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.
On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., deputies found Ferrell unresponsive in her cell. Officials say basic first aid was administered, but she was pronounced dead at the scene…
