The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office announced Monday the sentencing of a repeat violent abuser.
Anthony McDonald, Jr., 32, of Akron, was sentenced to 16–20 years in prison for felonious assault, strangulation, and multiple charges of domestic violence.
A Summit County jury found McDonald guilty of the following charges:
- One count of felonious assault, a second degree felony
- One count of strangulation, a second degree felony
- One count of strangulation, a third degree felony
- Two counts of domestic violence, both fourth degree felonies
