STARK COUNTY, Ohio — A 1-year-old child — identified as Havana Collins-Cody by the Stark County Coroner — has died following a house fire, which happened Tuesday night in Plain Township in the 3400 block of Easton Street NE.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office says authorities responded to the scene around 9:22 p.m. after a 911 call reported that a child was trapped inside the residence.
“Upon arrival, deputies assisted firefighters in locating and removing the child from the home,” according to a press release from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office. “The child was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital by the Plain Township Fire Department with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office.”…
