Akron man found guilty in 2025 shooting at FieldHouse Lounge

AKRON, Ohio — Jakel Blackwell has been found guilty of multiple felony charges stemming from a shooting at the FieldHouse Lounge in downtown Akron.

According to Summit County Common Pleas Court records, Blackwell pleaded no contest to:

  • Three counts of felonious assault with three firearm specifications
  • Having weapons under disability
  • Illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge Christine Croce ultimately found Blackwell guilty of all charges following his no-contest plea.
