AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Portage County man is now nearly $11,000 richer after a scratch-off purchased from a Valley convenience store paid off.
David W. purchased a Set for Life Scratch-Off at Colla’s Market located at 5509 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown for $20. After mandatory state and federal taxes, he will take home $10,987.50
In a media release, David said that he likes to start at the bottom of the ticket, and once he started scratching, he saw 50X. After he worked his way to the top, he could tell that something good was happening. He said he didn’t want to try to add everything up and scanned the ticket instead…
