Tornado confirmed in Northeast Ohio; thousands still without power

APPLE CREEK, Ohio — A small tornado touched down Tuesday in Northeast Ohio, snapping and uprooting trees and damaging homes and other buildings.

According to the National Weather Service, the EF0 tornado touched down just before 10 p.m. in Wayne County near the village of Apple Creek, which is about 60 miles south of Cleveland and 30 miles west of Canton.
