AKRON, Ohio — A community in Akron is stepping in to support a mother and her 8-month-old daughter after a ceiling collapse during an Easter celebration left the family in temporary housing and destroyed much of the infant’s belongings.
Storm McDonald says she was inside her Summit Lake apartment on Easter with her nearly 9-month-old daughter, Aubriella, when her friend noticed cracking overhead moments before the ceiling gave way.
