4 bags of fentanyl found in Portage County traffic stop turned drug bust

SHALERSVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) – What began as a routine traffic stop in Portage County turned into a major drug bust that ended with four bags of fentanyl seized and one Michigan man’s arrest, the sheriff’s office confirmed.

Portage Aggressive Crime Enforcement (P.A.C.E.) Unit deputies conducted the traffic stop on the Turnpike in Shalersville Township for minor traffic violations, PCSO said, “but it quickly turned into something much bigger.”
