At their meeting on April 13, Lake Township trustees scheduled the annual spring clean-up for Wednesday, June 3, through Friday, June 5, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cleanup will be held behind the Road Department building at 1499 Midway St. Directional signs will be posted. The service is for Lake Township residents only. Residents will be expected to unload their own vehicles. Identification will be checked.
In other business, the board approved a lease agreement with the North Canton Soccer Club for the township property on Midway St. The agreement had been reviewed and approved by the township’s legal counsel.
Trustees accepted the resignation of Road Department auxiliary employee James Miller, effective April 1, and wished him well. They agreed to purchase a dump body for the Road Department from Fallsway Equipment for $10,500. They agreed to pay Dutcher Door $5,319 for the purchase and installation of a replacement gate opener at the Road Department facility. They committed to purchase 3,000 tons of rock salt for the 2026-2027 season. They accepted a quote of $3,258.55 from VASU Communications Inc. for the purchase and installation of a MARCS radio mobile unit for the Road Department. They agreed to pay $20,500 to S&K Asphalt and Concrete for the repair of three areas of roadway…
