CANTON ‒ A 51-year-old city man was in critical condition after being shot in the head early on April 19.
A police report said the man, identified as Richard J. Staats, was shot in an apartment in the 3100 block of Tuscarawas St. W. It was reported at 4:23 a.m.
Police arrived to find the Staats in a bedroom with a 30-year-old woman who said she called 911. They found a pellet gun and the victim’s phone beside him. He had been shot in the front of his head…
